What is SUNIWE?
SUNIWE was a project funded by the JISC under the Distributed E-Learning Regional Pilot Programme. SUNIWE ran from April 2005 to March 2007. SUNIWE aimed to create a portal of personalised content for learners and pilot it in the Staffordshire University Regional Federation and the Wales e-Training Network.
What's on the site?
The site contains the key findings and experiences of the SUNIWE project. Our experiences may be of interest if you are working with any of the following:
- Portals (especially uPortal)
- IMS Enterprise Web Services
- Shibboleth
- Cross-institutional services and personalisation
The project final report includes the full story of our experiences and is available from the downloads section. Also available from the downloads section is source code for the uPortal Channels and IMS Enterprise Web Services implemented as part of the SUNIWE portal.
